Student Resources
College Guidance and Placement, the Counseling and Human Development Department, and the Peterson Learning Support Program are resources available to all Academy students and families.
Three full-time college advisers guide students and parents through the college search, application, and financial assistance processes, beginning with information sessions in grade 9.
The Academy has a staff of full-time, professional counseling faculty in the Counseling and Human Development department who oversee students’ health and wellness. They interact frequently with students, and teach courses, programs, and workshops to promote healthy living. The Counselors’ Connection is a robust and ever-expanding resource for information and research on a wide range of parenting and teen development topics.
The Peterson Learning Support Program helps meet the learning needs of each Academy student, providing assistance and strategies to meet students’ needs and circumstances.
